- 16 oz Bath Salts (You can use Epsom salts which are really inexpensive at the local drug store)
- 15-20 drops essential oils, no worries about the essential oils, the salts are still great for your skin
This makes an amazing bath salt mixture.
As Jessica mentioned in a previous post, you should check out the sugar scrub. I use almond oil in mine, but you can use olive oil. Also, a trick I learned recently, Wal-mart (of all places) sells a bottle of Vitamin E oil for $5. Add a few drops and it will make your skin feel wonderful. Vitamin E is an amazing anti-oxidant.
I recommend taking one day a month, even if it’s just for an hour or so, to take all that random stuff you have under your counter (come on girls, you know you have it) and actually USE IT! You deserve it. I have hand scrubs, body scrubs, exfoliaters, face masks, and a million and one things under there. If you have them, use them.
If you have a little extra cash on hand, make sure you get a manicure or pedicure. If you haven’t signed up for Groupon, make sure you do. At least once a week they have a wonderful deal on manicures/pedicures/facials/etc. Sometimes you can get one for a very good price.
But don’t forget about you. Before you were a wife, or a mother, or a step-mother, or an all powerful executive, before all of that, you were a woman first. Make sure you remember that and you let yourself feel like one. And don’t feel guilty, tomorrow you can go back to conquering the world!
