I really liked choosing a word last year to represent what I wanted out of 2012 – self-acceptance.
While I haven’t revamped everything on my list that I wanted to work on, I think I’ve made some pretty amazing strides on a few things. I’m no longer as quick to compare myself to others; and I’m OK with saying ‘No’ to people. While I’m still not very good at promoting myself, I’ve reached out more to guest blog, mostly with Sisterhood of the Camo Pants and Army Spouse Magazine.
All in all, 2012 was very good to me. For 2013, I’m looking forward to – SIMPLIFYING.

It’s time to get back to basics.
I’ve surrounded myself with things – Is it really necessary to have three bookshelves of books I’ll probably never read?
It’s time to get organized.
The visual clutter makes me crazy – Do I really need to hold on to magazines from years ago?
It’s time to let go of things.
Do I love it? Do I need it? If not, bye-bye.
It’s time to say goodbye to guilt.
The money has been spent – and it won’t come back – so let it go; someone else is meant to have these things.
It’s time to use what I have instead of searching for something new.
It’s simply time.
What areas of your life could you simplify?

Such a great word choice–I think we all need to simply in some way. My word is “intentional” and some of that is certainly being intentional about what I buy and what I keep around the house. I’ve been getting rid of stuff wherever possible and it feels great!
